All you need to bring is what you can jam into a backpack - and, of course, a willingness to gain a fresh new outlook on yourself and the world. It is the present moment that counts at Educo. There are no exams to pass, no standards to live up to.
Educo's purpose is to assist you into your future with confidence and a sense of your innate abilities. The emphasis here is on discovering your unique, brilliant self-expression.
This discovery happens through challenging and exciting outdoor activities. These are the tools which assist you to learn that no matter how stressful, chaotic or hopeless the outer situation may seem, you can stand secure in the strength of your own character. Your attitude, atmosphere, and spirit determine how you see your world - a place of futility and obstacles or one of adventure and opportunities.

No ordinary summer camp!
A big playing field with a climbing wall, two ropes courses (high and low), the Zip! line, canoeing at your front door, night skies studded with all the stars of the Milky Way, serene silence punctuated by the sounds of children growing in all directions. Sound familiar? Ah, but these are just some of the elements that will make up your time at Educo!

Educo is made up of exciting wilderness adventures designed to draw forth and emphasize each student's wonderful and unique qualities. Activities include rope courses, canoeing, climbing, rappelling, kayaking, expeditions with hiking, camping, discussions and team building games. You'll have fun while developing outdoor, leadership and life skills.
We offer 7, 10 and 14 day courses available for everyone 10 and over.
Welcome to Base Camp!
Our cozy, well-maintained
base camp is nestled on the
shore of Little Holden Lake,
22 kilometres west of 100 Mile
House, in the heart of British
Columbia. Delicious and
nutritious meals are prepared
for participants by Educo staff.
Daily activities include morning exercises and a run, canoe instruction, swimming, leadership development, team games, campfires, saunas, action workshops to develop life skills, creative thinking and self-expression.
There is no running water or electricity. Your participation in the operation and maintenance of the facility; i.e. pumping water, carrying wood, and helping in the kitchen, is therefore an important part of the daily life at Educo.
Small group interplay, one-on-one discussions, thought provoking journal exercises, and space for personal reflection provide opportunities for you to translate your physical experience into life-enhancing lessons.

Fire • Air • Earth • Water - 4 rustic student cabins, each sleeps 10. Home away from home, birthplace to many new friendships.
The Rec Hall - With its large stone fireplace and colourful Educo flags from previous courses, it's a great place to be on rainy days.
Lakeside Sauna - Meet the heat! Before plunging into the refreshing waters of Little Holden Lake.

Your Home away from "Home Base"
Much of your Educo experience is away from the base camp on overnight canoe and mountain expeditions. On these out-trips you will participate in rappelling, rock climbing, travelling cross-country with the aide of a map and compass, and learning the importance of teamwork.
Each student carries their own supplies plus group equipment, and takes part in setting up camp and meal preparation. All safety equipment is supplied by the school. The intensity and difficulty of each course is determined by age and individual capabilities. Although the "classroom" is the great outdoors, the real adventure happens within and between the students with the encouragement and guidance of the staff.
Educo is accredited by the British Columbia Camping Association.
